As you can imagine with the advent of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Google Cloud, Linode, Digital Ocean, Vultr, etc.) there has been a race for performance value.

Digital Ocean (DO) is one of the more recognizable names and they announced performance going up to 11 back in February, Introducing Premium Droplets with faster Intel and AMD CPUs and NVMe SSD: “One important aspect of our new Premium Droplets is their enhanced memory performance, which can play a significant factor in workloads like in-memory databases and server-side caches for web apps. Our Premium AMD Droplets feature memory frequency of 3200 MHz, and Premium Intel 2933 MHz.”
You know, like WordPress.
So with that in mind, Cloudways has just announced last week their integration with Premium Droplets and provided some analysis with multiple types of sites, DigitalOcean Premium Droplets With Faster CPUs & NVMe SSDs Now Available on Cloudways: “We also created a real-life online store scenario and added 2500+ products, 100k+ orders, and many must-have WordPress plugins to a WooCommerce store. The web and database file sizes are in GBs, so it wouldn’t be wrong to call this a big WooCommerce store.”
