Looks like one of my favorite social media sites/tools is experiencing major difficulties. LinkedIn. I’ve noticed this since approximately 13:00 CT, however BleepingComputer notes that the API has been experiencing difficulties since 12:00 CT, LinkedIn is down for many, and we are not sure why: “Reports of LinkedIn users having trouble accessing the service have also been surging since after 1 PM ET, according to Downdetector.”

Besides the “An error has occured” page that is coming up for most people, I’ve also seen an “Unknown Host” 500 error while refreshing:

Unable to locate the server; the server does not have a DNS entry. Perhaps there is a misspelling in the server name or the server no longer exists; double-check the name and try again. Please double-check the URL (address) you used, or contact us if you feel you have reached this page in error.
